Important Health Update: Survey Results and Schedule Adjustment

01 October 2023

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Thank you for your participation in our Family Health Survey. Your valuable input has provided us with essential insights into the health of our school community.

We would like to share the survey results with you, which have revealed that a significant majority of our community members have reported flu-like illnesses, and some have even required hospitalization. Regrettably, a substantial portion of our teaching personnel have also been affected by these health issues.

In light of these circumstances, we have decided to implement the following measures for the upcoming week, October 2 - 6, 2023:

Two-Day Health Break (No Classes):

On Monday and Tuesday (October 2-3, 2023), our school will observe a two-day health break to provide affected students, families, and staff with the necessary time to rest and recuperate.

Online Learning: For the remainder of the week (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday), classes will continue online. This adjustment is designed to accommodate those who may need additional time to fully recover while ensuring learning continuity.

Academic Support:

We understand the significance of uninterrupted learning, and we want to assure you that students who may miss classes during this period will have the opportunity for consultations with their teachers to help them catch up on missed lessons and activities.

Teachers’ Day Celebration:

Our teachers’ day celebration originally scheduled for October 5, 2023 will be moved to the following week, October 13, 2023 (No Classes).

Examination Week:

Examination week will be moved to October 23 - 27, 2023 to provide affected students ample time to catch up on missed lessons and prepare adequately.

We want to reiterate that your health and well-being, as well as that of our entire school community, are of utmost importance to us. Our thoughts and prayers are with each and every one of you, and we wish for a swift and complete recovery for those affected.

Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to the well-being of our school community.

Sincerely,

Ms. Sarah Alberto - Tordesillas

Program Director
