15 March 2024
Dear Grade 6 Students and Families,
This letter is an important announcement about the upcoming National Achievement Test (NAT) for all Grade 6 students in the Philippines. The NAT will be held between April 1 - 5, 2024. We will announce the final date, time, and venue once information is available.
The NAT is a standardized test designed to assess the academic achievement of Grade 6 students in core subjects:
Language Arts
Filipino
Mathematics
Science
Araling Panlipunan
The results of this test are valuable for both students and teachers. They provide students with a benchmark of their academic progress and can help identify areas where they excel or may need additional support. Teachers use the results to tailor their instruction and meet all students' needs.
Special NAT Review Sessions
Our teachers have also volunteered to conduct free review sessions in preparation for the NAT. All Grade 6 students are encouraged to participate in the review. The review sessions will be held on March 25 - 27, 2024 (Monday - Wednesday) with the following Schedule:
Time Activities
9:00 - 9:15 Assembly/Circle Time
9:15 - 9:45 Mathematics
9:45 - 10:15 Science
10:15 -10:45 Filipino
10:45 - 11:15 Araling Panlipunan
11:15 - 11:45 English
11:45 - 12:00 Dismissal
Selection of NAT Participants
The Bureau of Education Assessment (BEA) will assign the number of students from our school who shall participate in the National Achievement Test. This means that only a certain number of students from our school will be chosen to participate.
Final List of NAT Participants
We will announce the final list of students who will be chosen as soon as information is available.
We understand that standardized tests can create some anxiety. Please reassure your child that the NAT is a tool to help them and their teachers. Encourage them to do their best and approach the test with a positive attitude.
The testing center will provide a quiet and comfortable testing environment for all students. Teachers will be on hand to answer questions and provide necessary assistance.
Thank you for your continued support of your child's education. If you have any questions or concerns about the NAT, please do not hesitate to contact your child's teacher.
Sincerely,
Ms. Sarah Alberto - Tordesillas
Program Director
